Tell us something about the store owner-the brain behind the brand?

The company was started by Puru Gupta and Sreejith Moolayil. Puru Gupta, a first-generation entrepreneur, comes from a defense background and a corporate experience spanning across multinationals, including P&G, ITC, CSC & Cognizant. An alumni of FMS, Delhi (MBA, Marketing), and Pune University (BE, E&TC), he has a diverse experience across India and China, including consulting engagements with local companies from China and Africa, non-profit orgs, MNCs & govt. Rated as a top expert in marketing, he also helps brands for entry in Indian market and GTM strategies for India. Puru is based out of Mumbai.

Sreejith Moolayil, a first-generation entrepreneur, comes with a diverse experience of more than 12 years in HR and Law, having worked previously with Cognizant, Tata Motors and Delphi TVS. His last assignment was working as a Head HR with Cognizant, Pune. An Alumnus of Symbiosis IMS (MBA, HR) with Masters in Labour Law from Pune University and LLB from Mangalore. His focus areas are IT & Manufacturing. He is an expert in Chinese market, having headed China HR operations for Cognizant. Sreejith is based out of Pune.

How did you come up with the idea of creating your own store?

We have been working on an e-commerce store for the past 1.5 years. Getting the right healthy alternatives has always been a challenge for us. We realized that there are a lot of good products and services that we could get, spread awareness around them and sell online. This not only ensures awareness around health but also ensures availability to our end customer.

What is so unique about your online store?

We are the 3rd biggest health platform and the only platform that has healthier alternatives verified by dietitians and nutritionists. We have over 3500+ products and services, and plan to ramp up to 10000 products in the next 2 months.

What were the major challenges did you face while starting up?

We had to move from Volusion, so this transition was quite difficult. While we had a lot of new features offered by Kartrocket, there was a learning curve we had to go through, to ensure that our run rate of orders is not impacted significantly.

Any learning you want to share with fellow entrepreneurs?

KartRocket has a lot of features and the team is constantly experimenting with newer ideas and innovating them. It is a great partner to have, if you want to build your e-commerce business

How was your experience with Kartrocket?

Initially, we had some hiccups because of server issues. But over time, our experience has improved. The support team is quite responsive and is open to feedback as well.
