Product SKU Code Will Appear On The Shiprocket Shipping Documents

From now, all the shipping documents issued from Shiprocket, like invoice, label and manifest, will include the SKU code of your product/s. This way you can easily recognize which product has been shipped and inventory management becomes easier. The new shipping label, invoice and manifest will look as follows:

How Will This Benefit You?

SKU or Stock Keeping Unit is a unique code for your product which includes specific details of your product like size variation, manufacturer name, color, material, etc. It is created by the merchant (most of the time) and easily readable. So, when you talk about inventory, it means the quantity of each SKU in your store. The addition of SKU code in these documents will benefit you in the following way:

a) Easy Product Packaging
Packing your products will become easy for you as well as your workers. Since, you will have the SKU code ready in all documents, you can use any of them to get the correct product and pack them.

b) No shipping Blunders
With the SKU code, you or your workers can easily check whether the correct product is sent to the correct order ID. This way, there will be no shipping blunders.

c) Minimum Product Return Or Exchange
Wrong color or product is one of the primary reasons for product return. Since, you will be able to check the products with the SKU code mentioned, you will deliver the correct product. Hence, no product return due to wrong item delivered.

Know the Exact Payment Method In Invoice

Your invoice is a complete information of all the product items purchased by your end customer along with the price, customer’s name & address, mode of payment, etc. Earlier, the payment mode used to appear either as “Prepaid” or “COD.” But, now you will be able to know which prepaid mode has been used for payment like credit card or debit card or netbanking.
